I wake up to a new day in this forest. I have to go on. I can't stay. I'm cold and my clothes are wet. (Because) It rained tonight. I have a hard time getting up. My wounds are too deep and my eyes are burning. I keep tripping, can hardly walk upright. The forest, the trees, they seem to crush me. Slowly my strength seeps away. I am about to give up. It's like a dream. I see a path that shines like gold and I see my brother, running into the arms of someone. I see his wounds healed. I see his tears dried. Now I know that he's safe, that there is redemption. This gives me strength to go on. I come to a path with many people laying down on it. They have the same wounds I have, and they have already given up. But then I remember the path, my brother and that somebody with the open arms. I know there's more to it than this. I fight on. Suddenly I am in a clearing. In the midst there's a tree with someone nailed to it. He calls me to come. The closer I get the warmer it gets. He has the wounds of my brother. And he says that he wants to bear my wounds. It's like a dream. I see a path that shines like gold and I see myself running into his open arms. I see my wounds healed. I see my tears dried.
