Sometimes a whisper, sometimes a roar,
Sometimes it seems I can’t take any more
Constant reminders from Satan himself
Of my faults and failures and why I deserve hell.
His words leave me broken, cast down and misled
Then I remember what God said:
God said I’m forgiven and washed white as snow;
I’m loved beyond measure, His Word tells me so
What Satan uses to confuse us, is settled instead
When I remember what God said.
Now even though Calvary erased all my sin,
Satan keeps right on reminding again.
Ever relentless he brings up the flood
Of things long-forgotten and under the blood;
His words leave me broken, cast down and misled
Then I remember what God said:
God said I’m forgiven & washed white as snow;
I’m loved beyond measure, His Word tells me so,
What Satan uses to confuse us, is settled instead
When I remember what God said.
Now truth was established a long time ago
God said it, I’ve read it, it thrills me to know
What Satan uses to confuse us, is settled instead
When I remember what God said.
Remember what God said.
Just remember what God said.
