I love the Lord for He heard my voice
Because He turned His ear to me

For as long as I shall live

The cords of death entangled me
The anguish of the grave came on me
I had sorrow until I cried
'Oh Lord would You save me!'

Oh the Lord He is gracious
And full of compassion
He protects the simple-hearted
And when I was in need He saved me

Be at rest once more
Oh my soul, oh my soul
For the Lord has been good to me, to me

You delivered me, my soul from death
My eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling
That I may walk before the Lord
In the land of the living

Oh how can I repay the Lord
For His goodness to me
I'll sacrifice an offering
