I produced the first take and couldn't wait for you to hear
The beat was so slow, we laughed
Thank you for encouraging my singing on the same songs that I rapped
I never thought my wildest dreams would come true so soon

Man, remember when you would sing "How Great Thou Art"
I remember everyone was like "man this dudes like the coolest cat"
He can play piano, he can sing
And I was like, "man that's my homie though,
I mean that's like my best friend, that's like my boy
So anytime anyone bragged on you,
I felt they were bragging on me too
And I remember when I was getting like real fired up for the Lord,
And you approached me and you were like
"Man I just want to do what you're doing
I want to run with you'
And I thought that was one of the most honoring moments
For me as a man of God
When you came up to me and said that
And we started running together
We started that Bible study and it started growing
And we were like, man this is super dope
Even after that, even after boarding school we were still running together
We were still doing music and recording together man
I just know that you have so much to give
I believe in you
Your one of the most talented amazing people that I know
And I just want to let you know 'I love you man'
And you're still my best friend
