Cloudy Monday morning, wind upon my face
storms are rolling in again
memories of another time take me back so far
to a place I remember well
happiness and laughter were no where to be found
in this place of guilt and shame
there no flowers blooming, not a ray of hope
just the chains of sin that bind
until the day you heard my helpless cry
You broke the chains and gave me life.

Nights of pain and sorrow have turned to peaceful dreams
and visions of my home above
I sleep securely knowing no matter what life brings
my God is always in control
so with each breath I'll always give You praise and stand in awe of Your sweet grace
