i woke this morning to a brand new day
it's when life is simple and i begin to pray
but soon i realize the world has no faith
so i feel pressured to play their game

but i don't ever want to toe that line
i just want to leave that foolishness behind
i just want to live by faith and not by sight
and tell the world i'm more then fine
o so more than fine

all these voices invade my head
they come to kill and conquer, but they push me on instead
they only remind me of all the things i hate
so they can keep their eyes on what's for sure and eat their fancy cake
