Most of these songs were written in Jerusalem between Rosh Hashana and Pesach 2011-2012. Shalom Yerushalayim was my first Hebrew song, and it was written with guitar in hand, looking out over the city of Jerusalem from my little rooftop apartment in central Jerusalem, feeling God's heart toward His people Israel. During a short trip back to Canada, as I found that I was missing my heart's true home, I wrote Eikh Nashir? "How shall we sing the Lord's song in a strange land?" (Psalm 137) I hope that as you listen to these songs, you will also be able to feel Father God's heart toward Jerusalem and His intense longing for you to draw near to Him.
